Repeat each word, definition, and example sentence after your tutor.

Lab-Grown Meat: A Possible Future for Our Plates

In 2025, lab-grown meat is no longer just science fiction. Several restaurants in the US and Asia already serve cultivated chicken, and major food companies are investing heavily in the industry. Supporters argue this technology could provide a sustainable alternative to traditional farming, which is responsible for significant greenhouse gas emissions.

Cultivated meat is produced by cultivating animal cells in a controlled environment, rather than raising and slaughtering animals. Advocates believe this will not only help the planet but also prevent animal suffering. However, controversy remains. Critics question whether people will accept the taste and safety of lab-grown products, and whether the nutritional value will match traditional meat.

Despite these concerns, experts predict that within the next decade, lab-grown burgers and chicken could move from luxury items to mainstream supermarket shelves. If prices fall enough, cultivated meat might completely change how we think about food.
